Privacy policy

Chords by El Ricochon · Effective October 24, 2026

Chords by El Ricochon ("the app") is an app for worship teams: songs with chords, services, setlists and groups. It is developed and maintained by Orlando Borrero (odevhub), who is responsible for your data. This page explains what data the app keeps, why, and how to delete it.

1. What we keep

  • Your account: email address and name. Your password is stored encrypted by our authentication provider; nobody can read it. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your name, email and profile picture.
  • Your profile, if you fill it in: instrument and church.
  • What you create in the app: songs (lyrics, chords, key, capo, notes and audio or video links), categories, services, setlists, notes and annotations; the groups you belong to and your role in each; your participation in services and whether you confirmed it; and service history.
  • On your device: your preferences (theme, language and reading options), a copy of your data so you can read offline, which expires after 7 days, and the last screen you opened.

We do not keep your location, contacts, photos or advertising identifiers. The app does not use the microphone or the camera and does not record audio. It has no analytics, ads or tracking.

2. Why we use it

  • To provide the service: store your songs and services and show them on all your devices.
  • To sign you in and protect your account.
  • To let your team work together: groups, shared services, and each song's key and capo.
  • To send the emails your account needs, such as confirming sign-up or resetting your password.

3. Who sees your data

  • Members of your groups see your name, picture, instrument and role, and the group's content according to their own role (admin, leader or member).
  • What you keep outside a group, as personal, only you can see.
  • We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Service providers

The app relies on these services, which process data only to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase: database and authentication.
  • Google: Google sign-in, if you choose it.
  • Vercel and Cloudflare: hosting for the web version and these pages.
  • An email delivery provider: your account emails.
  • Google Play and the App Store: app distribution.

When you open a YouTube, Spotify, Google Drive, OneDrive or other link that someone added to a song, that service receives the request and applies its own privacy policy.

5. Security

Everything travels encrypted over HTTPS. The database enforces row-level access rules: you can only read your own data and that of the groups you belong to.

6. Your rights

You can view and correct your data in the app, and ask for a copy or any clarification at borrer31@gmail.com. You can delete your account at any time: in the app, under Settings → "Delete my account", or as described in Delete your account.

7. How long we keep it

For as long as your account is active. When you delete it, we remove your account, your profile and what you kept as personal within 30 days at most. What you created inside a group, such as its songs and services, stays in the group so its members can keep using it, without your account data.

8. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and let you know in the app about significant changes.
