Terms of service

Chords by El Ricochon · Effective October 24, 2026

By using Chords by El Ricochon ("the app"), you accept these terms. The app is developed and maintained by Orlando Borrero (odevhub).

1. The service

The app lets you create, organize and share songs with chords: edit them, transpose them, read them on the stand, build services and setlists, print them and work as a team in groups.

2. Your account

You need an account with a valid email address, or Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for what is done with your account.

3. Your content

  • It's yours: you keep ownership of the songs, setlists and other content you create.
  • License: you allow us to store and display it, only to provide the service to you and your groups.
  • Copyright: you are responsible for making sure what you upload does not infringe anyone's rights. If you use copyrighted songs, make sure you hold the appropriate license (for example, CCLI).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the app for illegal purposes;
  • try to access other users' data;
  • reverse-engineer the app or interfere with how it works;
  • upload malicious content or harmful code;
  • share your credentials with other people.

5. Groups

When you create or join a group, what you share with it is visible to its members according to their role (admin, leader or member). Group admins manage membership and content.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the app available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access: it may be unavailable for a while during maintenance or updates.

7. Price

The app has no paid features today. If it ever does, we will announce it in the app beforehand.

8. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time, as described in Delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

9. Liability

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date above; continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept the new terms.
